What to Send Before Requesting a Custom Sandal Upper Sample

Many enquiries begin with one reference photo. That is completely normal. The photo helps us understand the overall look, while a few additional details help us judge the construction, material and amount of development work involved.

1. A clear reference image

Send the clearest image you have. It may be a sketch, a photo of an existing upper, a finished sandal, or a combination of details from several products. If only one part of the image matters, mark it or explain which element you want us to follow.

2. Approximate dimensions

For a decorative sandal upper, overall width and height are a useful starting point. Also tell us where the component will connect to the sole or adjoining straps. A ruler placed beside an existing sample can often provide enough information for an early discussion.

3. Material and colour direction

Let us know whether you prefer PU, textile, mesh, braided material or another base. Colour references can come from a physical swatch, Pantone number or a clear photograph. Remember that screen colours vary, so production colour should be confirmed against an agreed reference.

4. Decoration details

Rhinestone size, spacing, colour and attachment method affect both appearance and construction. For heat-press, embroidered or woven details, tell us which areas must remain flexible and which areas need more structure. If you are unsure, explain the look and target price level; we can discuss workable options.

5. Estimated order quantity

An approximate quantity helps us consider suitable materials and processes from the beginning. It does not need to be a final purchase order. A realistic range is more useful than leaving the quantity blank.
